Can I edit my offer on a DVC Resale?

Last edited on July 14, 2025

Sometimes, the moment you click submit, you realize you want to tweak your offer. Whether you’re reacting to new market info or simply had second thoughts, DVC Sales makes it easy to manage your offer — depending on where it is in the process. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Offer Submitted (No Response Yet)
If the seller hasn’t replied, you’re in the clear. Just log into your DVC Sales dashboard, locate your active offer, and click Edit to change the price. Your new offer replaces the original and updates the seller right away.

2. Seller Responded with a Counteroffer
Once the seller counters, your original offer is locked. At this stage, you can either accept the counter, decline it, or submit a counter of your own. If you decline now and wish to make another offer later, you’ll need to restart the process from scratch.

3. Agreement Created (But Not Signed Yet)
Once both parties agree on a price, a contract is generated. At this point, you can no longer edit the offer, but cancellation is still possible. Just email us and we’ll cancel the agreement and notify the seller.

4. Fully Signed Agreement
Once both parties have signed, the contract is binding. Any changes after this point must be made through a written amendment with mutual consent and title company approval.

Not sure where your offer stands? Our team is happy to help you review the status and guide you through your options.
