Response Time for DVC Listings

Response Time for DVC Listings plays a crucial role in whether or not a contract moves forward. When a buyer submits an offer—or receives a counteroffer—the seller has 24 hours to respond. Timely replies are essential, as delays can cause buyers to move on to other listings. In the competitive DVC resale market, momentum matters, and a fast response can be the difference between closing a deal or losing the opportunity.

Every DVC resale listing is unique. Whether it’s the price, point availability, Use Year, or resort, no two listings are exactly the same. Because of this, buyers often act quickly, even if the offer isn’t a perfect match, simply to secure the membership they want. Compared to direct Disney pricing, many resale options already feel like a bargain—so sellers who delay might lose a ready buyer to another broker.

To avoid that, we recommend that both parties plan ahead. Sellers should know in advance their minimum acceptable price or what terms they’re willing to counter. A clear plan helps reduce hesitation and supports faster, more confident decisions.

If a seller doesn’t respond within the 24-hour window and the offer expires, we temporarily take the listing offline until we hear from them. This ensures the platform remains active with engaged sellers only. Buyers can still resubmit a new offer if the original one expires.

Our admin team monitors every step and will follow up directly with any seller who hasn’t responded in time. Our goal is to keep the process smooth, transparent, and on schedule.

If you have questions or concerns about offer timing, our team is here to assist you every step of the way.
