When you submit an offer through DVC Sales, the system immediately delivers it to the other party’s profile page and sends an automated email notification. This ensures the seller (or buyer, depending on the direction of the offer) is notified without delay and can respond promptly.
In addition to email, you may also receive text alerts and mobile push notifications if you’ve enabled those features in your profile. This helps you stay informed no matter where you are. Inside your DVC Sales dashboard, the Journal page updates in real time to reflect your offer’s current status — whether it has been viewed, accepted, declined, countered, or expired. Each action is time-stamped so you always have a clear record of progress.
Every offer includes a 24-hour expiration timer. If the other party does not respond within that timeframe, the offer will automatically expire. This feature encourages faster decisions and keeps the process moving forward for both parties.
While we can’t track whether buyers are submitting offers with other brokers, we occasionally learn that a buyer chose to complete their purchase elsewhere. This is a reminder that in competitive markets, sellers who respond quickly have the best chance of securing the deal.
If you’re a seller, it helps to decide in advance what you’ll do in different scenarios — such as instantly accepting full-price offers or responding to lower offers with a predetermined counter. Being prepared can save time and prevent missed opportunities.
If you’re concerned that your offer didn’t go through or wasn’t seen, just contact us. We’re happy to confirm the status, check delivery logs, and follow up as needed. Rarely, emails or push alerts may be missed, but your activity is always saved within the platform.
Keep your contact info current to ensure every update — via email, SMS, app, or dashboard — reaches you without delay.
