Yes — you can absolutely counter a counteroffer on DVC Sales. Our platform is designed to support real-time, multi-step negotiations between buyers and sellers. You’re free to continue the back-and-forth until both parties reach an agreement or decide to walk away.
Each time you submit a counter, the other party is notified instantly via email and through their dashboard. From there, they can choose to accept, reject, or submit another counter. The entire negotiation is tracked in your Journal and keeps a timestamped record of all activity, making the process transparent and organized.
To keep momentum, every offer and counteroffer comes with an expiration timer. If the other party doesn’t respond before the timer runs out, the offer will expire automatically. When this happens, we’ll send out an alert and update both users’ dashboards so you know where things stand.
If you’re countering, we recommend adding a short explanation about your price adjustment. For example, if you’re reducing your offer due to fewer points being available, or because of a resort’s expiration date, sharing that context helps the other party understand your position.
Our admin team actively monitors negotiations and can offer guidance if you’re unsure about how to proceed. Whether you’re trying to make your counter more attractive or simply want a second opinion on pricing, we’re here to help.
Once both sides agree on the terms, we’ll generate a purchase agreement and send it out for e-signature to begin the next stage of the closing process.
In short — yes, you can counter a counteroffer. And if you need help navigating the negotiation, we’re happy to assist.
