Add Resale Contract to DVC Account

Yes — in many cases, you can link a resale contract to your existing Disney Vacation Club (DVC) account, but it depends on two key factors: how the new contract is titled and whether it matches your current Use Year and ownership details.

Disney determines linkage based on:

Names on DeedUse YearResult
MatchingSame✅ Added to current membership — same login and Member ID.
MatchingDifferent✅ Same login, but new Member ID assigned.
Mismatched (any variation)Any🚫 Separate login and Member ID — treated as a new membership.

Even the smallest variation — like a missing middle initial, an added spouse, or a changed last name — can trigger Disney’s system to create a separate account. That means a second login, a separate Member ID, and having to manage each contract independently.

To avoid this, we recommend taking a moment to review the ownership names on your existing DVC deed before your resale contract closes. If you’re buying through DVC Sales, our team will help confirm that the names on your new contract exactly match what Disney has on file.

Getting this right the first time saves you from the hassle of juggling multiple logins or trying to merge contracts later — a process that’s possible, but not guaranteed, and often time-consuming.

If you're not sure what names Disney has on file, let us know. We're here to help you avoid surprises and set up your account the right way from the start.
